To learn how to fight, just read the following. You'll now know why you have the health points and all in your profile. I've added some posts for an example of a battle. Well here we go!
All you have to do is follow this order.
1. Post how you’re going to attack your enemy.
2. Roll for your attack and add that roll to your strength.
3. Your opponent rolls for his/her defense and adds that roll to his/her dexterity.
4. If your total is higher, subtract your attack total from his/her defense total and that’s how much damage your opponent takes, losing that many health points. If your opponent’s total is higher than yours, then nothing happens and it’s your opponent turn to attack.
5.
Do the math, so that your opponent knows what you did to get the losing ammount of HP, if any. Okay, so that idea was bad. I got 2 complaints about the math and that this isn't school. So instead, you MAY post in the math to show proof of your work.
To get your opponent off-balance in battle, you’ll have to deal 15 damage in one attack or use a special attack (explained later). The damage will either daze or trip your opponent for one turn. On that turn, your opponent doesn’t roll for his defence and doesn’t attack. It’s like you get a free turn.
If your opponent rolls an 11 or higher, then it’s possible that your opponent broke something like you leg. If you rolled a 5 or less on your defense roll, then your opponent broke wherever s/he attacked. Like if s/he attacked at your belly, then s/he’s broke your rip.
After a while, you may decide to flee because of your health points or wounds. To do that, you must first, post that you’re fleeing from battle on your attacking turn. Then, both you and your opponent roll the dice. If your roll is higher than your opponent’s, then you’ve successfully fled, but your opponent can still chase you until you stop. If your opponent’s roll is higher than yours, then you didn’t flee successfully and lose your attacking turn.
When you’re practicing your attack moves with someone, you don’t have to worry about your health points draining to death. Instead, you’re either unconscious or you’re too weak to move for the next 30 minutes, your choice. After 30 minutes you’re back to the health you had before.
Your mentor will eventually teach you all or some of the special moves. I can’t tell you what they are though, but some can stun your opponent, knock them out, and more. If the opponent doesn’t know the attack move you’re about to do, then the untrustworthy opponent can ask his leader or me if that’s a real move or not. Don’t be shy to ask about it. I won’t get mad or anything, but your leader… Well, that might be another story.
If you get killed in anyway, then you’ll be sent to StarClan and become a StarClan member. I’ll explain everything you need to know about StarClan when you do die.
You can also be fighting with multiple cats. If you do, then here’s how it’s going to work. First, the cat that attacks first will choose the cat s/he’ll attack as well as the rest of his/her team. Then you’ll do the regular round where you and the opponent you chose to attack roll a dice and all that. Then, when your attacking turn is over, the opponent will choose who to attack and do the same process. You can have everyone attack just one cat if you want too.
Well that is all I have for you for now. If you have any questions then please ask in the Rules forum under FAQ's.
