"Rabbit!" softly hissed Nightpaw, she looked around hoping to spot the prey. She saw it and flicked her tail to show her mentor she had found it."Now what?"

"Stalk up closely and keep your hanches down." he said, showing his apprentice the motion. "Then pounce."

"Okay," mewed Nightpaw, she left her mentor,slowly stalking the rabbit. She was a bare foxlength away when she pounced! The rabbit had taken off to late, Nightpaw quickly made her kill and proudly dragged it back to Blackclaw."Was that good?" purred Nightpaw.

Blackclaw smiled. "Very good! You'll make a warrior in no time!" he purred. "Let's go back to camp. You can take that to the Elder's then get your share, then we can go back to training." he added.

"I hope the Elders will be pleased," purred Nightpaw through rabbit fur.

"They will." Blackclaw promised.

"Lightfoot and Morningpelt really liked it, Are we really going to do some fighting!" mewed Nightpaw enthusiastically.

"Yes. Why yes we are!" Blackclaw purred.

"So, what first?" purred Nightpaw, patient but trembling with excitement.

"Ok, if a warrior is trying to swip at you, duck and roll." he meowed.

"Okay," her mentor swiped at her head and Nightpaw ducked and rolled, then turned and swiped at her mentor, who repeated the move. "Good?" mewed Nightpaw.

Blackclaw nodded. "Very good." he meowed. "I think we should go find Icefur and Goldenpaw." he added. Longstripe padded down the hill. "Their found." she hissed softly. "Thier mates."

Brightstar padded into the clearing. "Longstripe, take Icefur and Goldenheart home. I will give them a punishment later." she growled. "Blackclaw, may I talk to you?" she meowed. Blackclaw nodded and walked to his leader. Agter they talked for a few heartbeats, Brightstar turned to Nightpaw. "You are ready to be a warrior." she meowed.
