It was greenleaf and everything was dry. The territory was having a drought and little water and not much prey wasn't a good sign, "I can't find good prey anywhere, nor can I find water! Shadowclan is going hungry and thirsty and the other clans might be too! Starclan show us what to do!" Mosspaw yelled to the light of silverpelt, he had snuck out of the camp in search of food and water, but he found nothing.

darkkit managed to follow quietly in the night wondering what our leader was up to

Silverkit paced on the other side of the border. Staring into shadowclan territory. She needed to talk to darkkit. was it love? was it the need to know about the clan that killed her father? was she unloyal to thunderclan? Silverkit pushed the bad ideas out of her head. She returned to her lookout.

wildkit was afraid that somthing was wrong so she quietly followed her friend

once again darrkit had smelled thunder clan in his territory so he followed the scent. " so your back all ready." darkkit meowed happily.

darkkit i...... do you know anything about a cat that killed a windclan warrior? the windclan cat could have been my father. Silverkit said as her blue eyes gazed into his.

"Well yah, i think his name was dirtpaw or something like that." Darkkit meowed curiostly. "Why ask?"

dirtpaw! her mind raced. She imagened her father being killed by a dusky brown cat. She tried to shake the image out of her head. at least her mother was alive. *ya and in riverclan.* she thought grimly. She shook herself back to reality. Darkkit i dont know why i keep wanting to talk to you! It might be just cause you know how it feels. you never even got to meet your parents......... im so sorry!

"Dont be." I feel sorry for you your family is mostly gone now and in star clan." darrkit replied

But it must be worse for you! you dont have anyone! its not fair that we're in different clans..... we could have been such great friends. But i'm not letting bounderies keeping us from being friends! it wouldnt be right!

Then she looked around. You... you dont think mossstar can see us can she? i dont want you to get in trouble.

Also do you remember when me our leader and some warrior where chasing after you and wildkit?? and no i dont think she is around.

ya i remember that. mossstar didnt seem gentle, she attacked kits....... im sorry for saying bad things about your leader...... its just that.... if she mentions that at the gathering, me and wildkit could get in trouble....

Silverkit muttered the name over and over again. She closed her eyes. Darkkit thanks for everything! silverkit mewed. but iv gotta go! if fireheart finds me out of the camp.... or if mossstar found you! She touched her nose to darkkit's. Suddenly she felt an emotion swelling up inside her. But before she gave herself a chance to reconize the emotion, silverkit sped off into the woods.
